Air duct cleaning has become more and more common over the years, and with good reason. As people realize what can be hanging out in their home and how it can affect their health, they are more likely to give us a call to take care of their air duct cleaning. So when are people calling us to help make their home a healthier place?
When Your Plant Allergies Are Acting Up
Many of us suffer from allergies, and when spring is here there’s no way that you’re going to avoid everything that goes into your nose and causes you to have a allergic reaction. But long after plants have stopped producing pollen, many of us will be sniffling and sneezing.
Why? Many times it’s because those allergens have gotten into our air ducts and settled. When summer comes along and we turn on the air conditioner, they get shot right back out into the air in our homes. The same holds true during fall as plant matter decays and gets stirred up, only to settle in our homes and get stirred up as the winter heat is turned on. Air duct cleaning can get those allergens out of your ducts and out of your house for good.
When Your Bug Allergies Are Acting Up
Many of us have an insect allergy and we don’t even know it. Most of the time it’s not an allergy to the insect itself but to its frass, or excrement. Many insects use the air duct system to move throughout the house, and in doing so will leave their frass behind. When that fine particulate gets stirred up as the heater or air conditioning comes on it becomes airborne, and it will eventually find its way into your nose and lungs.
